National Informatics Centre Services Inc. (NICSI) was set up in 1995 as a section 25 Company under NIC, Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Government of India to provide total IT solutions to the Government organizations.

To provide the economic, scientific, technological, social and cultural development of India by promoting the utilization of Information Technology. Computer-Communication Networks, Informatics etc. by a spin-off of the services, technologies, infrastructure and expertise developed by the NIC of the Government of India. NICSI work with its Computer-Communication Network, NICNET and associated infrastructure and services.

NICSI provides services for a number of e-governance projects undertaken by NIC and DIT. Of the 1,200 projects executed annually, some of the major ones include e-District, SWAN (in Sikkim, UP, Chandigarh and Delhi), Integrated Disease Surveillance Project of the Health Ministry, Community Information Centre (CIC) in the states of North East and J&K, e-Governance replication, National Portal of India, Unique ID projects, Computerization of High Courts, Integrated Information System for Food grains Management (IIFSM) of FCI, e-Procurement, Transport Computerization, Counseling for admission to Engineering/ Medical/ B.Ed. courses, DC*Suite project in Kerala, Public Health Engineering Department Computerization and e-Services projects in the state of Tamilnadu.    ...more
